Our village
The name of our village is Charak Khola. It is under
Daudkandi Thana in the district of Comilla. Our village is small. About fifteen
hundred people live in the village. Most of them are Muslims. There are people
of other religions too.
Most of the people of our village are farmers. Some
villagers are day laborers and some are petty businessmen. Some educated
persons are service-holders and they live in the town. A few landless persons
earn their livelihood by pulling rickshaws and plying boats in the rainy
season.
The communication system of the village is very good. There
is a wide road which connects our village with Dhaka-Chittagong high way.
Rickshaws are available in all seasons. People use boats in the canals and on
the open fields during the rainy season.
There is a High School in our village. We have a Primary
School, a Post Office and a brick-built mosque in our village too.
The people drink tube-well water. Fish, meat, milk and
vegetables are always available in our village market every morning. The health
of our village people is good.
Our village people are simple, honest and amiable. They help
each other in distress. They solve their problems themselves. They lead a very
simple life. We are proud of our village.
