Population problem composition
Population is a blessing of a country. But over population
is not productive and brings curse for a country. Bangladesh is small country
but it is densely populated. The population is greater than her land area. The
population is increasing rapidly day by day in our country. So population
problem of our country is a burning question.
Over population isn’t productive. It is great threat for our
country. If our population grows at a high rate, our country will have to face
a great problem. This will affect the economic development and progress of the
country. The country would not be able to provide food, clothes, housing,
educational facilities, medical facilities and other basic necessities of life
to the excess of population.
There are many causes of over population in our country.
Most of the people of our country are ignorant. They do not know about the
problem of over population. So they do not take the measures to control the
birth rate through family planning. Religious superstitions obstruct our people
in family planning or birth control. They believe that God will feed their
children. Most of the girls and boys of the country are get married before they
become matured. This early marriage is a special cause of high rate of population
growth. Women constitute half of the population of our country. But more than
half of them are not educated. Uneducated women are not aware of the negative
effects of over population.
The growth of population should be checked immediately. We
should take some measure to control it. Firstly, the high birth rate of
population has to be checked through the family planning. Secondly, we have to
make campaign to educate mass people. It will help them to understand the value
of family planning and the problem of over population. Thirdly, early marriage
has to be strictly stopped by government law. People have to be aware about
this. Various awareness-raising programmes should be taken to make the people
eager to stop the high growth of population.
Population problem is a great threat for our country. We all
should come forward to check it. Government should be serious about it. We
could lead a secured life agterwards.
Population problem composition
Bangladesh is a small country.
But it is burdened with a huge population. Bangladesh is in fact one of the
most populous countries in the world. So, population problem is now one of the
greatest problems for our country.
Population of a country is an asset
but when the country cannot provide the people with the necessities, it becomes
a burden for a country. Bangladesh is beset with acute population. Firstly, the
illiterate people are not aware of family planning. Due to social and religious
superstitions, most of the people of Bangladesh are adverse to family planning.
Polygamy, early marriage, illiteracy and the hope of more male children are the
main causes of population problem.
Population problem is in fact the
root cause of many other national problems. Due to overpopulation, the need of
habitation, food and other things are getting acute. It is quite impossible now
to meet these demands. So, food problem, health problem, malnutrition, environment
pollution, poverty etc. are certain consequences of population problem.
To, control this problem, first we
have to make the general mass aware of the bad effects of population problem.
Mass media can play a vary vital role in this regard. People have also to be
made free from social and religious superstition. Family planning campaign
should be strengthened. Moreover, unemployed people should be trained in
various sectors to turn them into an asset.
Over population is a great hindrance to all our development efforts. So, it must be controlled at any cost. The educated and conscious people along with the government should come forward to rooting out this serious national problem.
Population problem composition
Introduction: Population problem, like energy crisis, is one of the most talked of topics of the world these days. It is the burning question of Bangladesh. Now the world has a population of about seven hundred crores. The population of the world is increasing day by day. It is creating many problems.
Population of Bangladesh: Bangladesh is the most densely populated country in the world. It is a small country of 147570 square kilometers. But it has a population over 16 crores. Every year more than two million people are being added to our population. The problem is now out of control.
When it becomes a problem: Though the population of a country is an asset, it becomes a problem when the country can not afford to give people the basic necessaries of life like food, clothing, education, medicine and shelter etc. There are many causes of rapid growth of population. Nowadays owing to better explosion of medical facilities and improvements of standard of living the death rate has gone down much but on the other hand the birth rate is on the constant increase. Early marriage and literacy rate are two important causes of the growth of population. The population of our country is increasing at an alarming rate.
It’s effect: The area of Bangladesh is too small to support her vast population. As a result it creates the following problems.
Food problem: Population in Bangladesh is increasing by geometrical progression. But the agricultural production is increasing by arithmetical progression. The production of food can not keep pace with our increasing people. So there is the shortage of food in our country. Every year a large quantity of food is to be imported from abroad.
Communication problem: There are crowds everywhere in buses, trains, bazars, schools, colleges etc. People climb on the roof of the buses and trains to travel one to another as there is no room inside. This causes the accident.
Educational problem: It creates educational problem too. It is a herculean job to get admission in schools and colleges. For twenty seats, there may be two thousands cadidates.
Unemployment: In the field of employment this condition is hazardous. For one single vacant post there will be thousand candidates. Thousands and thousands people are out of work in the country.
Shelter problem: The area of Bangladesh is too small to arrange shelter for the large number of population. In our country some people sleep under the open sky, under the large tree, at railway station.
Health problem: ”Health is wealth”, but our people are suffering from many diseases. Many children of our country are blind because they do not get enough nutrition. Our children often suffer in diarrhoea.
Medical and medicine problem: The large number of population creates the treatment problems too. There is only one qualified doctor for every 25,000 village people on the average. They also do not get proper and sufficient medicine.
Environmental pollution: The increasing people pollute our environment by making latrins on the bank of rivers and canals. Human waste pollutes our environments. The vast population also produce so much carbon dioxide which is danger for the environment.
Poverty: The increasing population of our country is creating pressure to our wealth. So day by day we become poor.
How to remove it: We should all come forward to control it. The government of Bangladesh is trying to control it. To remove this problem we should follow the following arrangements.
Family planning: Each family must not have more than two children. Then each family will be planned. They should be made aware of the gravity of the problem.
Education of the masses: To check the growth of population, top-most importance should be attached to education of the masses. If the entire population are educated, there would develop a sense of national awareness and wide outlook among them.
Stop early marriage: If we do not stop early marriage, the people of our country will be increasing at an alarming rate day by day.
Others: We can export man to other countries to remove the population crisis. To remove this problem, the lesson of self reliance is particularly needed for us.
Conclusion: The population problem is a great malady for Bangladesh. But this can be solved if the government and the people are firmly determined to control birth rate and grow more food at the same time. No improvement is possible unless this problem is solved. Therefore, all the people of Bangladesh and the government
should join hands to meet the crisis right at this moment before it is too late.
Population Problem of Bangladesh
Population is an unbearable burden for Bangladesh. Bangladesh happens to be the most densely populated country in the world. In an area as small as 555981 square miles, Bangladesh has a population of over 130 million. About 1500-1600 people live in one square mile. Every year more than two million people are being added to our population. The problem is now out of control. It has reached the position of explosion.Although the population of a country is an asset, it becomes a problem when the country cannot afford to provide its people with the basic necessaries of life.
The area of Bangladesh is too small to support its vast population. As a result over-population creates a lot of critical problems involving communication, education, employment, housing, health, medical treatment, environment etc. All these problems eventually lead to a general problem named poverty. Hence, it could be safely said that the poverty of our country is largely an aftermath of its population problem.
We all should come forward to control it. The government of Bangladesh has already taken a number of steps regarding the issue. In order to overcome this problem, we may follow the following rules. Each family must not have more than two children. Then each family will be planned. Each family should be made aware of the gravity of the problem.
To check the growth of population, highest importance should be attached to education of the masses. If the entire population is educated, a sense of national awareness is sure to develop among the people.
We can send more of manpower to foreign countries. It would serve two purposes: first it would lessen the huge weight of the population; second it would help the country earn more foreign currency.
Although population is considered one of the greatest problems of Bangladesh, it cannot be solved by the government alone. All the people have to be firmly committed to birth control and grow more food at the same time. No improvement is possible unless this problem is solved. We, therefore, place significant emphasis upon the solution to this problem afflicting the whole nation.
